→ Peachy farewell: A downtown Davis women's clothing boutique is closed. Peachy Lady, at 604 Third St., removed its signage and has mannequins advertised for sale in its window.

The store opened in September 2022. At the time, owner Lisa Vang said the boutique focused on young women’s fashions – sizes 2 to 10 – for a reasonable price.

It was the first storefront for Vang and her husband, Fue Thao, who live in West Sacramento. Thao is a UC Davis grad and Vang has an accounting degree from Sacramento State.

The store had an online shop before it opened. It remains.

→ Chinese goodbye: The West Davis Chinese restaurant Little Shu closed earlier this month. It was at 1260 Lake Blvd., Suite 1111, next to Fluffy Donuts.

The eatery opened October 2024, replacing Essential Hotpot. It featured Xiang Chinese cuisine from the Hunan province.
