The owner of the local Wayback Burgers said he plans to reopen the restaurant on Monday, after abruptly closing it for at least two days.

On Friday, Vergus Davis Jr. said he was “working on an internal issue,” but noted that he was “working with our food supplier for product.” When asked if he was having the problems getting product, he said no but did not clarify further.
I started getting messages from readers on Friday about the business at 1351 W. Covell Blvd. in The Marketplace. There is a sign on the door saying it will be closed for maintenance on Oct. 10 but nothing explaining why it was not open during regular hours today or Friday.
After I messaged the owner today, saying I was getting lots of messages and comments about the closure, he said, “We are opening back up on Monday. If you could please let them know, and we appreciate their concerns.”
Regular hours are 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
