[UPDATED] The Old Teahouse returns

The Old Teahouse is open in The Davis Collection. The only University Mall tenant to return to the refashioned center, it fills a 900-square-foot space in the courtyard area.
The cafe has been closed since July 2023, when U Mall was demolished. It operated for several years before that.
It serves boba, milk and fruit teas, smoothies and matcha lattes. Food includes crispy chicken, calamari, crispy tofu, cuttlefish balls and fries. There are also rice bowls with beef, chicken (grilled or fried), pork, calamari, cuttlefish, tofu or kimchi, a kimchi tofu stew, and combo deals.
Hours are 11:30 a.m. to midnight daily. Owner Xian Sun said times may adjust, depending on demand. The address is 835 Russell Blvd., Suite 170 in Davis.
The center is starting to fill up. Still to come are Cold Stone Creamery (November), Fluffy Fluffy desserts, Good Friends Poke (November), Tequileros Taqueria and 2nd Street vintage. One space remains unclaimed.
