The 24-hour infrared fitness chain HOTWORX plans to open a studio in Davis. It will fill the former Executive Cleaners space at 2101 Cowell Blvd., Suite A. Work has not begun inside.
The studios have multiple sauna pods where a handful of members can attend workout sessions led by a pre-recorded video. High-intensity interval training sessions are 15 minutes long, and isometric sessions like yoga and barre are 30 minutes. Classes include hot yoga, hot Pilates, hot core, hot buns, hot bands, hot barre, hot stretch, and two levels of hot ISO (isometric compression postures),
Workouts are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. According to its website, the Davis franchise plans the following staffed hours: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
