There will be both. This is my third time to NZ. The first time was as an exchange student, just to the North Island. The south is beautiful but was still pretty chilly this time of year.
I love reading about your travels as well as your local business news! We were recently in New Zealand and loved it, and hope to make it to Australia some day. Your photos are amazing! Thanks!
Thanks! New Zealand is very close to my heart. This is third time. The first one was as an exchange student when I was 16. I stayed in touch with two host families.
A big thank you for the bonus travel photos! I love them as much as the Comings and Goings in Davis. You have been on an epic vacation and I really appreciate you sharing it with your readers.
I've been to Australia many times. Wonderful place and great people. Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Cairns, Noosa Heads, Palm Cove, etc. Food is wonderful. Also Wellington NZ. Highly recommend going if you have the time and money.
Thanks for sharing your great photos, Wendy. Appreciate the informative captions, too. Travel does you well. You and Scott look so healthy, happy and relaxed. Take care.
Beautiful! We were in New Zealand and Australia in February and March this year. Your photos reminded me how beautiful everything is and how lucky we are to be able to travel. Thanks for sharing.
That sounds like an ideal time to go! We were there in early spring, and it was still downright cold. The other two times I’ve been were even colder. I never learn.
I absolutely love your bonus Travelog! The photos are spectacular, and I want to host you and your husband at Woodstock's so we can get your recommendations. Thank you for letting us participate a bit in your travels, and for getting us inspired to go!
A friend told me one of the hardest things she ever had to do was to say goodbye to Australia at the end of her trip. After seeing your wonderful photos, I can understand why!
Love your travelogue! We lived in Brisbane for six months in 1997. So glad you got a shot of the lorikeets. I’m assuming you went up and down the Gold Coast as well. Our 38 year old daughter was 10 years old and went to an Australian public school complete with a uniform that included a hat which was mandatory for going outside (Australia had one of the highest incidences of skin cancer in the world then). It was a wonderful experience.
I LOVE following your travels as well as your Comings and Goings column. Thanks for all you do, Wendy.
Thank you, Anne! I appreciate your support over the years!
Thanks, Wendy. These are lovely, and I’ll look forward to NZ! We’ve been to just the N island, so I’ll hope for pics of the S island.

I LOVE the bonus content! Thank you for taking the time to share your travel stories and photos. 🥰
Thank you!
That blue crayfish is amazing! Thank you for sharing your travels!
Isn’t it? It was the size of a small lobster.

Great pictures. Wally and I had talked about going to Australia and New Zealand years ago but just didn't make it.
Glad you enjoyed the virtual trip, Wanda!

I enjoy your travel news and photos. Interestingly enough, my husband went to Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley. Home of the Miners.
Me too! Weitzel is my maiden name. My parents owned Grass Valley Motor Sports (Honda cycles and power equipment) I have a younger brother Brian.
A beautiful place to move to. ❤️
Indeed!

Thanks, Laura. My husband is the planner and I’m the photographer.

We did the Gold Coast in 1992. This trip was Brisbane to Melbourne, then NZ, then to Cairns for four days before Bali, where we are now.
Yes, those kids get used to wearing hats at such a young age. Impressive! We enjoyed Brisbane.
I so look forward to your travel posts. Always such great photos and I appreciate the captions.
Thanks, Kari!
